This year's WWDC 2020 will open in less than 24 hours. But what exactly will Apple present to us during the keynote? Bloomberg wants to know the answer.

In a new Bloomberg report explains what Apple will actually present at this year's World Wide Developer Conference and what it will not. While the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has just confirmed that Apple wants to present the first ARM-based chip, Bloomberg has repeated the same. According to this, Apple wants to unveil the new processor but not present Mac devices. According to Bloomberg, Apple wants to give developers more time to prepare for the changeover and adapt their applications to the new ARM technology. The first ARM Mac devices are to follow at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021 - Kuo has already confirmed this too. promisedIt goes on to say that the next generation of macOS – macOS 10.16 – will greatly improve the porting of iOS updates to Mac devices.

New Apple TV and HomePod to follow later

Apple unveiled Project Calayst last year, which aims to bridge the gap between Mac and iOS platforms by making it easier for developers to create Mac apps based on the iPad version. Apart from that, tvOS 14 is planned to be unveiled, but the new Apple TV itself is expected to follow later this year. This claim is in line with previous rumors that the sixth-generation Apple TV will feature an A12 or A12X Bionic chip to improve the gaming experience. In addition, Gurman also confirmed rumors that watchOS 7 will feature new watch faces, a kids mode, and a sleep monitoring app. Regarding the HomePod, he said that a new - cheaper - model will also be released later this year.

WWDC 2020: Software is in focus

But in the area of software, Apple could unveil some innovations tomorrow, including the ability to link other streaming services in addition to Apple Music. In general, iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, watchOS 7 and macOS 10.16 as well as the first ARM chip are to be presented tomorrow. New hardware products are not to be expected, according to Bloomberg. Well-known leakers such as Max Weinnbach and Jon Prosser also believe in a pure software event, as they have now announced via Twitter. This would mean that neither the AirTags nor the brand new AirPods Studio will be presented. At least that is what some rumors have suggested. Of course, the possibility of a surprise should not be ruled out, but the chances do not seem particularly good. You can find out how you can follow WWDC 2020 in this article. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
