In three weeks, Apple will most likely present iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, watchOS 7 and macOS 10.16 at WWDC 2020. Now some users are asking themselves which devices will iOS 14 support?
The question of which devices will be phased out with the next major iOS update arises every year. The Apple Blog The Verifier wants to know the answer. According to the report, Apple plans to provide all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices with iOS 14 that already run iOS 13. This means that no older devices will be phased out this year. The statement is in line with a report published earlier this year by iPhonesoft was published.

After iOS 14, devices with A9 chips will be discontinued
Even though The Verifier doesn't have such a good track record, the site might actually be right this time. This would also mean that the iPhone 6S series will continue to be supported by Apple on a software basis for another year. In relation to this, however, the platform stated that iOS 14 will be the last major update for devices with the A9 chip. Accordingly, the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone SE 2016 will no longer be considered by Apple next year.
