New information suggests that Apple also wants to use this technology on the iPad to reduce the bezel of future models.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has latest issue of the Power On newsletter revealed that Apple will use LIPO technology for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

This technology allows the frame to be significantly reduced to just 1.5 millimeters, compared to the previous 2.2 millimeters on the current iPhones. Originally used in the Apple Watch Series 7 to make the edges thinner and the display larger, LIPO technology is now also being used in the new iPhones. LIPO technology opens up the possibility for Apple to transfer the new design to the iPad as well. Although it is currently working on a new version of the iPad Pro, which is unlikely to use LIPO technology, the Bloomberg report suggests that Apple is planning a visual overhaul of the iPad in the future.
