Apple's 2022 MacBook Air will have a new form factor and additional color options and could be released in the third quarter of the year, according to respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The upcoming MacBook Air could go into mass production in the second or third quarter of 2022, according to KuoAccording to his information, the device will not have a mini-LED display. In addition, the small notebook will also use the M1 chip. Previous rumors about the new MacBook Air suggested that the device will have a new form factor that is more similar to the current MacBook Pro models.

There have also been rumors of more color options and an overall thinner and lighter design. Interestingly, current information suggests that the device will be equipped with some sort of "M2" chipset, rather than an M1 as Kuo predicts here.
