According to the source, Taiwanese circuit board manufacturers have been informed that shipments of components for the iPhone SE 2 have been "postponed." These were originally scheduled to be billed in the first quarter (March, to be exact). However, the source told DigiTimes that Apple wants delivery in the second quarter.

Basically, it sounds like production bottlenecks in advance have led to Apple temporarily halting the flow of component manufacturing further down the supply chain. But what exactly does that mean? At the moment, it is assumed that Apple will present the device this month despite all the problems - although there will most likely only be a limited number of units available at launch. This means that waiting times can no longer be ruled out. Previous rumors have suggested an Apple keynote on March 31 and the launch of the iPhone 9 on April 3. But a live event in front of a large audience is now increasingly being doubted. Apple has already canceled its participation in this year's SXSW Film Festival.
