Once again, it's all about iPhone rumors - but this time, the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out. It's about the iPhone 2020 series.

According to the new report, Apple plans to launch three new iPhones in the second half of 2020 - but these will have a new size. Kuo believes that the high-end models will come with a 5.4" and 6.7" display, while the cheaper iPhone will remain the same with a 6.1" display. In addition, all three iPhone models will have an OLED display from 2020. According to the analyst, the two flagships with 5.4" and 6.7" displays will most likely support 5G - the 6.1" iPhone will retain its LTE standard.

Apple wants to become more independent

Qualcomm will probably continue to be Apple's main supplier for modems - Samsung will only serve as a backup. From 2021, however, all iPhone models will have 5G - Kuo also believes that Apple will be able to produce the corresponding modems itself in 2022 or 2023 at the latest, thus reducing its dependence on Qualcomm and Samsung. Ming-Chi Kuo is generally considered to be very reliable - his predictions have always come true so far.

Therefore, the latest report can indeed be taken seriously. Moreover, the information in it is consistent with an earlier report by DigitimesIf Apple does change the display diagonal, this would also bring a new iPhone design. What the iPhone 2019 models are likely to have to offer can be found here read here. (Image: C00)
