For about two weeks now, there has been talk reportedthat the iPhone 12 series will be released without a power adapter and EarPods. Numerous sources have now made the same statement. But what about the price? One believes that it will increase - even though the accessories are being cut.

There are increasing indications that the iPhone 12 devices will be delivered without a power adapter and EarPods. This year's iPhone SE is also set to be adapted to the new policy. So while the charging adapter and headphones will disappear and can be purchased separately, only the charging cable will be found in the packaging. These reports have caused a lot of discussion - there is also heated debate in our community. It is interesting to observe the opinions. Some already agree with this while others criticize this possible step. But there are also voices calling for a price reduction - but that will certainly not be the case.

iPhone 12: Do OLED and 5G demand higher price?

On the contrary – the price could increase slightly compared to the iPhone 11 series. The well-known and otherwise so accurate analyst Jeff Pu has spoken out in a new note to investors (via MacRumors). In it, he explains that Apple will probably increase the prices of the new iPhone generation by at least $50. He cited the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 as an example. The device could start at $749. For comparison: The iPhone 11 base model costs $699. Pu explained that the price increase is due to the new OLED screen and 5G connectivity. At the same time, he emphasized that his bank also expects savings on power adapters and EarPods. If the analyst is right, the 6.1-inch iPhone could cost between $799 and $849.

iPhone 12: Price forecasts contradict each other

Compared to the iPhone 11, that would be about $100 to $150 more. It remains unclear what the price of the iPhone Pro series will be. No statement has been made on this. It should be noted that this statement contradicts earlier reports. These had suggested a starting price of $649 - see the table below. AirPods Pro on offer at Amazon – now available for 213 euros. Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
