There are already plenty of rumors about the iPhone 12 series. Now, however, some of the rumors have been revisited and confirmed by an accurate leaker.

Max Weinbach is known to have reliable sources at Apple and usually shares his information with YouTuber EverythingApplePro. In the latest video, individual details about specifications are repeated and confirmed once again. Accordingly, there should now be no doubt that two of the four devices will receive a ProMotion display. This means that the two iPhone 12 Pro models (6.1 and 6.7 inches) will have a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The two cheaper models (5.4 and 6.1 inches) will continue to use 60 Hz.

iPhone 12: More battery capacity expected

But the interesting thing is that the iPhone Pro devices will work dynamically. The device itself should be able to switch between 60 and 120 Hz to save battery power. So it would basically work like the iPad Pro. However, since a ProMotion display requires more battery capacity, Apple According to the leaker, a larger battery will be installed. According to Weinbach, the high-end model - iPhone 12 Pro Max - could offer a total battery capacity of 4400mAH. However, the larger battery is not only needed because of the display. The new iPhone models will support 5G for the first time. Since 5G technology is very battery-intensive, the capacity has to be increased anyway. Face ID will also receive another improvement. According to the video, the new facial recognition will have a wider viewing angle.

Better images in low light conditions

In addition, the notch will be around 30 percent smaller this year. We can also look forward to an interesting change in terms of the camera. For example, shots in poor lighting conditions should be significantly better than before thanks to faster autofocus and improved image stabilization. An upgrade of Smart HDR is also to be expected. The new LiDAR scanner should make a major contribution to this. In addition, Apple could increase the optical zoom from two to three - according to EverythingApplePro. The presentation of the new iPhone 12 series is expected in September as usual. But this year the market launch could take place later than planned. The reason for this delay is said to be the global COVID-19 pandemic. According to current speculation, sales could start in stages. Observers are guessing the months of October and November.
