The rumors surrounding the iPhone 12 series are still present. Now there are reports of an order released by Apple regarding the camera modules.

The Taiwanese DigiTimes is known to have solid contacts in Apple's supply chain. While details about manufacturing processes and equipment are often correct, the success rate in terms of time is rather modest. Rumours say that two of the four iPhone 12 Models will have a dual camera (5.4- and 6.1-inch), while the two Pro versions (6.1- and 6.7-inch) will have a triple camera. According to the current report, the manufacturers Sharp and O-Film will produce the camera modules for the two cheaper iPhone 12 models (5.4- and 6.1-inch). It is assumed that around 60 - 70 percent of these deliveries will be carried out by Sharp and the remaining 30 - 40 percent will be attributable to O-Film.

iPhone 12 Pro Max needs more time

According to the source, LG Innotek will be responsible for the camera modules of the two iPhone 12 Pro versions (6.1 and 6.7 inches). Production is scheduled to start in July. While component production will start in the summer, mass production of the new iPhone devices will be staggered. Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst, believes that final production of the 5.4 and 6.1 inch devices will start in September. Due to the complicated design, the 6.7 inch iPhone will not go into mass production until October. Accordingly, the market launch of the four devices is not expected to take place at the same time. The presentation, however, is scheduled to take place in early October and not in September as usual. The reason for these delays is the global COVID-19 pandemic. (Photo by Engdao / Bigstockphoto)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
