The technology world is always on the lookout for new innovations from Apple, and recent speculation about the next generation iPad Air has once again drawn attention to the tech giant. Below we take a closer look at the latest rumors revolving around the iPad Air with an M3 chip.

Apple recently unveiled its latest iPad Air models with the advanced M2 chip, but rumors are already rife with information about the next stage of development. A look at Apple's history and strategic decisions can help us better understand the plans behind these innovations.

The transition to the M3 chip

According to leaked information shared today by a reliable source on Platform X (via MacRumors), Apple will equip the next generation iPad Air with an even more powerful M3 processor. However, this information is not that surprising, as the current models of the iPad Air with the M2 chip were announced just a week ago.

The new models at a glance

The latest update includes two new models with screen sizes of 11 inches and 13 inches, replacing the previous 10.9-inch model. These devices replaced the iPad Air with M1 chip introduced in 2022 and set new standards in performance, which Apple says is almost 50% higher than the previous model.

iPad Air: Future Plans and Speculations

Even more interesting are the plans for an OLED iPad Air, which could be launched between 2026 and 2028. This suggests that Apple still plans to position the iPad Air technologically behind the iPad Pro, a strategy that encourages customers to choose between the models depending on their needs.

Pricing and availability of the current generation

Like its predecessor, the iPad Air starts at a price of 699 euros, while the larger 13-inch model starts at 949 euros. Both models will be available from May 15th and offer significantly improved performance compared to the older versions. (Image: Apple)
