According to DigiTimes, Apple is planning to launch a new iPhone with a MicroLED display. This display is said to offer numerous advantages over current iPhones with OLED displays, including higher brightness and a better contrast ratio.

According to the paid report According to DigiTimes, the Apple Watch Ultra will be the first device to switch to MicroLED, followed by the iPhone and iPad. By the end of 2024 or 2025, the Apple Watch Ultra will no longer use the OLED display and will be replaced by Apple's own MicroLED display. The first iPhone with this technology will probably not be released for several years, as the Apple Watch Ultra is not expected to use a MicroLED display until 2025. So all models of the iPhone 15 that will be released later this year will be equipped with OLED displays.

The future of the iPhone display: Apple plans to switch to MicroLED

Apple is currently making the transition to OLED displays. The original Apple Watch was the first device to feature an OLED display, followed by the iPhone X. Rumors suggest that the first iPad and Mac models with OLED displays will be released next year. The transition to MicroLED is expected to be similar to the transition from smaller to larger devices. Overall, Apple is continuing to improve its product range and is committed to using the latest technologies. The MicroLED display is expected to offer numerous advantages and improve the user experience. Even though the first iPhone with this technology will be a few years away, it will be interesting to see how the transition to MicroLED is taking place in the technology industry.
