The world of wearables is once again rocked by interesting rumors about the next generation of the Apple Watch. The latest speculation suggests that Apple is planning a major change to the design of the Apple Watch. In particular, the tried and tested wristband system is set to undergo a major overhaul.

The Apple Watch has established itself as one of the leading players in the smartwatch market since its launch in 2015. One of the most notable features of this smart watch was its compatibility with a wide range of straps, offering users the opportunity to adapt to their style and needs. But now Apple seems to be considering a radical innovation by completely revamping the strap system.

The sensational rumor about the upcoming change comes from a well-known informants named Kosutami, who has shared reliable information about Apple's future plans in the past. According to Kosutami, the connection system for the next generation of the Apple Watch has been "completely redesigned." This means that all currently available Apple Watch straps will no longer be compatible with the next generation of the smartwatch. An earlier report from Bloomberg had already indicated that Apple intends to introduce a new design for the "Apple Watch X."

Launch planned for September 2024

Renowned Apple expert Mark Gurman revealed that the current way the straps are attached to the Apple Watch takes up a lot of space that could be used for other components such as a larger battery. The new Apple Watch strap design is described by Gurman as a "magnetic attachment system" that could improve efficiency and space management. Kosutami's latest rumor adds further spice to this information by claiming that this groundbreaking change will definitely be introduced with the "next generation" of Apple Watch, which is expected to launch in September 2024. Whether this will actually happen remains to be seen, however. (Photo by Eremin / Bigstockphoto)
