The analyst has provided a second report that contains further details on Apple's upcoming VR/AR headset. According to Kuo, Cupertino is developing mixed reality headsets with 15 camera modules. Of these modules, eight will be intended for augmented reality video experiences. A special module will recognize the environment to position objects in the scene and six modules will enable "innovative biometrics," as the analyst explains. The components are supplied by Largan Precision, a Taiwanese company that works as a supplier of camera lens modules for smartphones, tablets and other devices.
