After the lock, thermostat, and sensor, the cameras have now also been revealed. A leak shows the doorbell, floodlight camera, and indoor and outdoor cameras from LG's Apple Home series. This means all seven devices that LG reportedly developed in collaboration with Apple have now surfaced.
Bloomberg reported on Tuesday that LG, in collaboration with Apple, has developed seven smart home devices to be released under the LG brand. Just hours after a door lock, thermostat, and temperature sensor surfaced in FCC documents, the remaining four devices have now been revealed.
It was published by X user @ringo_tech in a thread with pictures and technical details.
Key Facts at a Glance
- A leak reveals for the first time the LG series video doorbell, floodlight camera, outdoor camera and indoor camera.
- The doorbell has a second, downward-facing camera in addition to the main camera.
- The interior camera can be tilted up and down using a motor.
- All four devices communicate via WLAN at 2.4 and 5 GHz and via Thread; the three cameras also use NFC.
- This means that all seven devices from the LG series have now appeared for Apple Home.
The four camera devices in detail
The video doorbell is hardwired. Next to the main camera is a second camera that points downwards, potentially capturing packages left at the door. According to @ringo_tech, inside are an AC/DC converter, a USB board, two Wi-Fi antenna connectors, and a Thread antenna. Further details can be found in a separate post about the doorbell.
LG Indoor Cam Plug-In Has a motor-and-gear mechanism that appears to provide vertical tilt. Includes Hall IC components, infrared LEDs, microphone components, and a speaker. Supports dual-band Wi-Fi with WPA2/WPA3 security and has Thread and NFC antennas. https://t.co/6UeDBM03Lg

The floodlight camera has separate lights on the left and right, infrared LEDs for night vision, an ambient light sensor, a microphone, and a speaker. According to @ringo_tech, it shares design elements with the outdoor camera.
The outdoor camera is mounted on a ball joint and powered by an AC adapter. O-rings and waterproof grease are used to seal it against moisture. The indoor camera tilts up and down via a motor and gearbox. Both cameras have infrared LEDs, a microphone, and a speaker.
All seven devices at a glance
The new leak allows the entire product line to be assembled. The information regarding the lock, thermostat, and sensor comes from FCC documents, while the information about the camera devices comes from the leak itself.
| Device | Special feature | Radio |
|---|---|---|
| Video doorbell | second camera downwards | Wi-Fi, Thread |
| Floodlight camera | Lights left and right | Wi-Fi, Thread, NFC |
| Outdoor camera | Ball joint, sealed | Wi-Fi, Thread, NFC |
| Indoor camera | electrically tiltable | Wi-Fi, Thread, NFC |
| Door lock | Unlock via ultra-wideband | Bluetooth, Thread, NFC, Ultra Wideband |
| Thermostat | 60 GHz radar | Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread |
| Temperature sensor | magnetic back | Bluetooth Low Energy, Thread |
Thread technology is used across all seven devices. This allows them to be integrated into Apple Home via a Thread control center such as the HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K with 128 GB.
Two camera lines for Apple Home
The account has a limited reach. Nevertheless, I consider the images credible because the four product names exactly match the designations Bloomberg cited from the FCC and UL Solutions approval applications. However, no document or certification number for the cameras is yet available; the images so far only come from @ringo_tech.
This suggests that Apple Home will have two separate camera lines. The LG models cover the classic applications, from the front door to the driveway. In addition, Apple is reportedly working on its own security camera, which is expected to be released in 2027 and will analyze the environment instead of continuously recording.
Do you need a doorbell with a package camera and floodlights at the driveway – or would you rather wait for Apple's own camera, which is supposed to record less? Tell us your opinion in the comments.
