Rumors and leaks about the so-called AirTags have been around since the summer of 2019. Now a picture has been published that is supposed to show a kind of case in the form of a pendant.
There are currently rumors that Apple might present the AirTags tonight. However, this is not certain. Now the anonymous leaker Fudge has posted an image on Twitter that may show some kind of case in the form of a pendant. The interesting thing is that there is a patent that visualizes exactly this model.
The AirTag is placed in the case and can then be attached to a key or bag, for example. Due to the Apple patent, it is obvious that this is a genuine Apple product. The engraving also suggests this. But Fudge warns that it could just as easily be a fake product, since something like that can be produced quickly and easily in China. Therefore, the authenticity cannot be checked and confirmed - but it is still interesting.
What exactly are AirTags?
Apple's AirTags are small trackers that can be attached to various objects. This accessory is by no means a new invention. But Apple wants to market them as a useful accessory - so they should have more to offer than competing products such as Tile or Adero - at least on a design level. The biggest advantage is probably the deep integration into Apple devices. This makes management much easier. Whether macOS, iOS or iPadOS - the "Where is?" app is available on all three systems.
