According to a new Bloomberg report, Amazon is planning a new Echo with significantly better sound quality. The goal is to be able to compete with Apple's HomePod and other premium manufacturers - according to well-informed journalist Mark Gurman. According to this, Amazon is currently developing a higher-quality version of the Echo - the focus is on sound quality. Of course, there will also be other features - according to Gurman. According to his information, the prototypes of the cylindrical speaker are significantly wider than the latest model. This allows the installation of a full four tweeters - according to Gurman's source. It was repeatedly emphasized that the goal is better audio quality - this is the only way the smart speaker can compete with Apple's HomePod and other high-quality speakers in the future. At the moment, however, the Echo is not so popular because of its features - but because of its sound quality - Amazon now wants to change that. The intended purpose of the device is still unknown. A presentation of the project will most likely take place this year, but according to the report, the robot is not yet ready for mass production.
