Nomad has added a new, elegant gold tone to its two MagSafe chargers Base One Max & Base One.

When Nomad launched the Base One and the even more powerful Base One Max, they came in two color options, silver and carbide. Now there's a new shade of gold, but it's limited. Nomad says the design team went through countless iterations before settling on this shade. Interestingly, it looks quite similar to the Starlight MacBook Air. Both products feature a metal body and glass finish, and are heavy-duty to keep them from slipping when you pick up your phone. The MFi-certified MagSafe Puck is traditionally white.

Base One Max & Base One in Gold – Limited Edition

The Base One is a single-device charging station with a 15W MagSafe coil in the middle. The Base One Max, on the other hand, can charge two devices, an iPhone and an Apple Watch. I tested both products at the time and was very happy with the results. The new gold colors are now available on the company's website.

The Base One Max costs $149.95, and the Base One costs $99.95. Although the gold tone is a limited edition, the price remains unchanged. To celebrate the launch, you can save 15 percent for the first 48 hours—no promo code required. (Image: Nomad)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
