In the first 72 hours, the new mobile shooter is said to have been downloaded over 35 million times. Now there is a new estimate. According to Sensor Towers, Call of Duty Mobile is said to have brought in over 100 million downloads on iOS and Android in its first week - if the company is right, that would be a new record. According to the report, this is "the best start of any mobile game ever". By comparison, Fortnite was downloaded around 22.5 million times in the iOS App Store in its first week - it was not available for Android at the time.
"iOS leading in several disciplines"
PUBG Mobile managed around 28 million downloads - on iOS and Android combined. Not to forget: Mario Kart Tour was downloaded 90 million times in the first week. The estimate also shows a concrete division between iOS and Android. According to this, Call of Duty Mobile is said to have been downloaded around 56.9 million times on iOS devices, while Android "only" achieved 45.3 million downloads. Sensor Towers writes:
"Activision's shooter was most popular in the United States, where it was downloaded nearly 17.3 million times, or 16.9% of the total. India followed with 13.7 million downloads, or 13.4%, followed by Brazil with 7.1 million downloads, or 7.1%."
iOS is also said to be the leader in terms of revenue. iPhone and iPad players brought in around 9.1 million US dollars, while the Android camp generated around 8.3 million US dollars in revenue.
