Apple has big plans: The next generation of AirPods is in the starting blocks and promises groundbreaking improvements. Rumors suggest that the upcoming launch in the fall will be the biggest in the history of AirPods. With production set to start in the summer and an estimated number of units of up to 25 million, Apple is preparing to set the standards for wireless headphones again.

Since their launch, AirPods have established themselves as the benchmark for wireless audio technology and have become a must-have accessory for Apple enthusiasts. With each generation, Apple has introduced innovations that revolutionize the listening experience. Now, with the next generation of AirPods just around the corner, consumers are eagerly awaiting what Apple has in store.

mass production in summer

According to a report According to Mark Gurman in Bloomberg's Power On newsletter, Apple is about to begin mass production of the fourth generation of AirPods. The planned production volume of 20 to 25 million units this summer is a clear sign of Apple's determination to outperform the competition in this area. The new generation, consisting of models known by the code names B768(E) and B768(M), promise exciting innovations. Both variants will feature a revised design with an improved fit and USB-C charging case.

AirPods 4: More features for the M model

However, the M model will offer features such as Active Noise Cancellation and Find My speaker in the case itself. These improvements underline Apple's commitment to quality and innovation. But that's not all. The AirPods are expected to be only part of the changes planned for 2024. The expected iOS 18 update could even introduce a hearing aid mode for the AirPods Pro. This clearly shows that Apple is committed to continuously improving its ecosystem and providing users with a first-class listening experience.

Outlook for the Future

Overall, the upcoming launch of the new AirPods promises to be an exciting time for Apple fans and technology enthusiasts. With mass production planned for the summer and new innovative features such as Active Noise Cancellation, Apple is once again setting standards for wireless audio technology. The AirPods will therefore remain an important part of the Apple ecosystem and promise an unparalleled listening experience for millions of users worldwide. (Photo by dominiquejames / Bigstockphoto)
