Back in April, it was reported that the design of the volume control could change in iOS 13. Now, an image of an early iOS 13 version has been released that is said to show a design considered by Apple - it is not new.

Ben Geskins enjoys a particularly good reputation among Apple leakers. He has already proven himself in the past with photos of unreleased Apple products. Now he has published a picture on Twitter - it is said to show the design of the volume control in iOS 13. According to Geskin, the photo was taken in early March under an earlier version of iOS 13. The build number is (17A3457I). He could not answer whether Apple had selected the design for the final version of iOS 13. The shape is very similar to the currently familiar control from the control center.

Is the volume control positioned on the left instead of the right?

In direct comparison, however, the new version appears to be smaller. According to a recent report from 9to5mac, Apple has opted for the position on the left side of the notch. The design is also said to be different - the choice between several designs fell on a much smaller version. We will see what form the new display actually takes this evening at the latest. A revision of this was long overdue. Many third-party applications have now developed their own solution that is much more pleasant for users. YouTube, for example, has opted for a thin line above the screen in full-screen mode.

WWDC starts at 7 p.m. CET. Apple is expected to present iOS 13 and macOS 10.15 as well as tvOS 13 and watchOS 6. Here you can find a complete Summary of everything that might await us tonight. (Photo by Unsplash)
