Apple recently published statistics on the acceptance of iOS 13 and iPadOS – the iPhone operating system is clearly ahead.
Apple now has a first look at iOS 13 and iPadOS acceptance grantedAccording to the report, 50 percent of all iPhone and iPod touch models are already using the new iOS 13, while iPadOS has only been installed on 33 percent of all compatible iPad devices. According to Apple's report, a whopping 55 percent of all iPhones introduced in the last four years are running iOS 13 - 38 percent still have iOS 12 and 7 percent are still running older iOS versions. If all actively running iPhones are taken into account, 50 percent of them are equipped with iOS 13, while 41 percent have iOS 12 and 9 percent are running an older iOS version. According to Apple, acceptance is identical to iOS 12 in 2018.
iPadOS 13 acceptance
Of course, exact data on iPadOS 13 was also revealed during the release. However, it should be noted that the new iPad operating system was released a week after iOS 13. According to Apple, 41 percent of all iPad devices introduced in the last four years have iPadOS 13, while a whopping 51 percent run iOS 12 and 8 percent use an earlier version. This means that 33 percent of all actively running iPad models run iPadOS 13, while 51 percent continue to use iOS 12 and 16 percent work with an older iOS version. According to Apple, the published usage data is based on visits to the App Store from October 15, 2019.
This year's update cycle is different from previous years. iOS 13 has already been updated five times since launch - in addition to new features, several bug fixes and performance improvements have been made. The current software version is iOS 13.1.3 – published on October 15.
