Apple Arcade
Apple Arcade is Apple's gaming subscription service, launched in September 2019 as a response to the traditional mobile gaming market with its ads and in-app purchases. Its catalog now features over 200 games, including Apple Arcade Originals, platform-famous hits like Civilization VII, Oceanhorn 3, and NBA 2K Arcade Edition, as well as growing collections under the "App Store Greats" and "Timeless Classics" labels. Games can be played on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Vision Pro, with cloud syncing between devices and full controller support. Apple Arcade is also available as part of an Apple One subscription.
Under this tag, apfelpatient.de offers ongoing coverage of the service: monthly overviews of new games and updates, background on major releases, strategic context around Apple's gaming ambitions, the link to the new Apple Games app and Game Center, and rumors about potential cloud gaming expansions. Seasonal events, Family Sharing topics and the service's performance within the wider services division are covered here as well.
Anyone curious about which titles are coming next to the catalog and how Apple Arcade stacks up against Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus will find what they're looking for here.
